What is the purpose of this site?
Preparing for your death not only saves your loved ones from guessing what you would have wanted, it also lets you be remembered the way you want to. You can plan, customize and personalize your funeral as well as help get your affairs in order. This reduces stress and worry for you and your loved ones.
Is it free?
There is a 30-day free trial, which lets you explore our planning and story capturing tools including uploading and saving your favorite photos, videos, audio recording and music. You’ll always have access to this site, which is full of free inspiration and funeral ideas.
Do you have to pay for your funeral on the site?
No. This is a site to plan it so your loved ones know. Some members set aside money. You can let them know that on our site.
Are you associated with the funeral industry?
No we are not affiliated in any way. We are independent and offer an objective point-of-view.
What type of security does this site have?
This site is password protected and secured using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Personal information that you enter onto the site is encrypted in our database for your protection. Only you, or a loved one whom you share your log-in credentials with, will have access to the site, and your information will never be given out.
How do I register for an account?
Click on the "Sign Up" button, and follow the steps. Following the registration, you will receive an email confirming your registration. On that email there is a link you need to click on to confirm the account. Then you will be able to start creating your plan. If you do not see an email come through, make sure to check your SPAM or junk folder.
How do I register for an account for a family member?
Click on the “Sign Up” button, and on the next page click on “For Someone Else.”
How does my family know that I have an account and have started a plan?
Once you sign up for an account, you can let your family members know by adding their emails when prompted to do so using the “invite” button. You will have the choice of inviting them as administrators or contributors. They will receive an invitation via email and then just need to confirm on the link on the email.
What is the difference between and administrator and a contributor?
An administrator has full access to view and edit your plan and your story. A contributor can view your plan (but not edit) and can add to your story.
I didn’t get or can’t find the email from My Wonderful Life?
Sometimes the email ends up in the “Junk” folder so check there. Also make sure to allow emails from us so you know about the new features we will be adding.
How private is this site? Who has access to it?
Your information is encrypted and cannot be accessed by outside parties. You and the people you share your log-in with will be the only people who have access to your information.
QUESTIONS ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
What is a Member?
When you open up an account at MyWonderfulLife.com, you are considered a Member.
What is a Legacy Member? Someone who was already a member prior to October of 2019.
Can I start an account for someone else?
You can help them through the process, and pick out their password, if they want you involved in the site.
How do you upload photos?
To upload a photo on MyWonderfulLife.com, go to the Story section of your plan, and click on the ‘Upload Photo’ button. From there, you can select photos to upload. Click ‘Choose’ and voila! Your photo is uploaded!
Is outlining my wishes in my Will good enough?
Your will is a necessary document that primarily deals with distribution of your assets and guardianship of your children. Having more than a Will is necessary for your family and friends during funeral planning. Since the Will is many times not located or read until after the funeral, it is not useful to document your funeral and burial wishes in your Will. MyWonderfulLife.com will enable your family and friends to have access to your wishes immediately after death.
What if I forget my password or username?
Go to the ‘Log in’ page on MyWonderfulLife.com and click on ‘Forgot Password’ and follow the steps.
I was a member of the original site, will my information be carried over to the new site?
Yes! In order to view your information, you will need to reset your password. To do so you will need to click on “Forgot Password” and enter the email address associated with your account on the original site. You will get an email to reset your password. Once you do so, you will have access to your information from the original site. If you have a problem please email us at support@mywonderfullife.com.
What about the “Angels” I had designated on the original site? With the new site you will designate the loved ones you want to have access to your final wishes. Once you have signed in, you will need to click on the “invite” button in the upper right corner and then follow the prompts.
I no longer use the email associated with my account on the original site. Now what?
We recommend that you attempt to access that old email. If you are able to, you can then follow the steps to create a new password by clicking on “Forgot Password”. Once you are logged in, you can change your email address under “My Account”
If you have exhausted all your attempts to access your old email account, here is the best way to proceed: Send an email to support@mywonderfullife.com with the Subject: OLD ACCOUNT ACCESS. In cases like yours, we'll need the following information to access your old My Wonderful Life plan. All information should be what you entered into your original account: 1) name 2) old email address associated with account 3) mailing address 4) phone number 5) current email address you want associated with your new account.
Please allow 1-3 business days for us to follow up on your request.
We take the data privacy of our members seriously, and if you aren't able to provide this information, we won't be able to give you access to your account.
In this case, as in most cases, we'd recommend you start a new plan using a current email address.
If I was a member of the original site, do I have to pay the fees for the new site?
No. As a Legacy member the site will always be a free membership. However when we add new optional products or features, you will have to pay for those if you want them.
I signed up for an account, but I can’t log in to see my plan or my story.
If you created an account and are not able to log in to your account, you probably did not confirm your email address. After you create an account, MyWonderfulLife.com will send you a confirmation email to whichever email address you provided. Once you see this email, you’ll want to click the confirmation link to officially create your account. Sometimes the confirmation email ends up in your junk folder so make sure to check there.
How do I cancel my membership?
When you are logged in to your account, click on “Subscription”. Under the “Select Plan” drop down menu, select “Cancel Subscription” and then “Save Plan”.
My wife & I share the same email address; can we both create an account?
Every account on MyWonderfulLife.com needs to have its own email address.
Why upload pictures if they’re on your computer already?
The ‘my Photos’ feature is not meant as storage for photos, but as a way to show your loved ones your favorite pictures. Also, some people would not know where to find favorite photos on someone else’s computer so this just makes it easier. Your loved ones will be able to download your pictures when they enter your online site to retrieve your wishes.
The original site used Angels. Does the new site use angels? Will be angels be carried over from my original account?
While you can carry over your information from your original account, angels will not be carried over as the new site does not use the angel system. Instead, you can invite contributors or administrators to the new account. Any angels you had on the original site will need to be invited to the new site.
