Featured Funeral: Bill Carlson

As a broadcaster for more than 50 years with WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Bill Carlson was a part of many Minnesotan’s lives.  At age 74, Carlson lost his long battle with cancer, but the funeral was not a somber event.  More than 800 people gathered to attend the ceremony at the historic State Theatre in Minneapolis for a three-hour show and memorial. Singers, impersonators and storytellers all took the stage to share their tributes to Carlson. More than 30 people spoke at the service.
