Featured Funeral: Man Leaves His Legacy—On His Headstone

During his life, Harstad was an accomplished Minnesota attorney.  Before his death at age 79, Harstad had written his own obituary. The obituary ended with an invitation to see the headstone that he had personally designed at the Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.  The memorial is complete with a map of Norway, and family trees outlining his Norwegian heritage and his wife’s German ancestry.
